ZTS Maps (Zone Track Spot) are one of a number of different ways to show and identify differing industries on a railroad. This method was used by Conrail, and I have been able to find maps from this area. The area that I'm modelling can be found in Volume 6 of the Philadelphia Division. I will be developing ZTS maps based on the actual maps for the region. They will be somewhat scaled back and simplified. These maps will be posted here as I get them developed. I am also using the ZTS maps as a resource for designing the track plans for each of my modules. The zones that cover the NEC in this volume are zones 55 to 59. Zone 55 (Bayview 1) covers from Perryville to Bayview. Zone 56 (Bayview 2) covers from Bayview to Bowie, including Penn Station. Zone 59 (Washington) covers Seabrook to Potomac Yard, and this includes Washington Union Station.
Here you will find the ZTS Maps that I have developed for my modules, and industry lists associated with those maps. Below you will find links to the track numbering scheme and any applicable symbols that you will find on my maps, as well as a sample map and track list.
