HHP8's have been shipped, and are en route from PWRS and should arrive before the long weekend. They don't have decoders, and I likely will be using DH123/163P decoders for them.
First week of classes is in the books. Because one of my focuses is on history I will be adding a Historical section to this site. It will include information about the line in this area, from the construction of the line to the current era, which I model.
I have received a diamond award from the Ruth's Haven Award Program. The award is viewable here.
Casey's Celtic Charm has awarded my site a bronze award. The award is viewable here.
I have also received an award for this site from the W8MC Stamp of Excellence. I have received the bronze award for this program. The award is viewable here.
As with all new designs there are some problems that crop up. Amongst these are things like proper titles, and pages that were left out that were intended to be viewable. These problems I hope have been fixed.
I have also received an award for this site from the WSR Web Site Awards. I have received a three star rating. The award and others can be seen in my awards section available here.
A new site design. This new design is meant to fit different screen sizes. I am also taking recommendations from Jacob Nielsen's book Designing Web Usability. Some of the recommendations, such as using blue, underlined text for links and having a consistent menu are among the recommendations that I am using. The text is also designed to be easier to read.
All of the pages with the exception of the roster pages have been completely converted. The roster pages require some additional work, so they will be static pages until the final version is up and running around the last week of the August.
My rosters are currently being updated so that the information is presented from a database. As the changes are completed I will be setting it up so that you can view photos of my equipment, and get information about the equipment.
As sort of a commemorative feature I will be sending every fifth rail e-pass to a friend or acquaintance from outside of the model railroading hobby.
